Entrepreneurs, Including PWG Lens CEO, Phillip W. Grant, Inspire Georgia State University Students

At PWG Lens, we believe that success is not just measured by what we achieve but also by how we give back. Our CEO and Founder, Phillip W. Grant, recently had the incredible opportunity to return to his alma mater, Georgia State University’s – Robinson College of Business, as a featured panelist for the Ask the Entrepreneur Panel Discussion.

This event, hosted by the Career Advancement Center, brought together a dynamic group of entrepreneurs who shared their journeys, challenges, and triumphs with students eager to carve their own paths in the business world. For Phillip, this wasn’t just another speaking engagement—it was a full-circle moment, a chance to stand where he once sat as a student and pour back into the next generation of dreamers and doers.

Beyond sharing the technical and strategic aspects of entrepreneurship, Phillip had the unique opportunity to highlight something even more significant—his faith-driven approach to business. Entrepreneurship is a road filled with uncertainties, risks, and obstacles, but for Phillip, faith has been the unwavering foundation that has guided his decisions, shaped his resilience, and fueled his vision for PWG Lens.

What made the moment even more powerful was the students’ positive response to this message. Many resonated deeply with the idea that success isn’t just about financial gains or brand recognition—it’s about purpose, impact, and staying true to one’s values. Their enthusiasm and thoughtful questions were a testament to the hunger for deeper meaning in their own entrepreneurial journeys.

Phillip was joined on the panel by a dynamic group of entrepreneurs, each of whom brought their own unique story, expertise, and wisdom to the table. The event was more than just a discussion—it was an opportunity for the students to hear real-world experiences from individuals who have navigated the difficult and often unpredictable world of entrepreneurship.

Together, this group of passionate and successful entrepreneurs inspired students to push past their doubts, trust in their vision, and take action toward their goals. It was a powerful reminder that entrepreneurship isn’t just about chasing success—it’s about staying true to your values and creating something that makes a difference.

What made this experience so meaningful was the sense of community it fostered. As someone who has gone through the trials and tribulations of building a business, Phillip knows how much of a difference it makes to have mentors and role models who are willing to share their wisdom. By participating in this panel, he had the chance to give back to the next generation of entrepreneurs, sharing lessons that he has learned over the years and hopefully sparking something in them that will fuel their own success.

“My faith in God is what I depend on totally throughout this journey as an Entrepreneur,” Phillip reflected. “It’s incredible to be in a position where I can share what I’ve learned with students who are just starting out. Their enthusiasm and willingness to learn reminded me why I’m passionate about what I do.”

The event was organized by Sherry C. Noble, Recha R. Reid, Ph.D., Erica Bracey, Deniece Griffin, MBA, and the incredible ENI team at Georgia State University. Their dedication to supporting students and creating spaces for real-world learning is inspiring. Thanks to their hard work, students had the chance to hear directly from entrepreneurs who have been where they are and can offer valuable advice and encouragement.

It’s experiences like this that remind Phillip—and all of us at PWG Lens—why we do what we do. It’s about creating legacies, not just in business, but in the lives of others. Empowering students, encouraging them to believe in themselves, and sharing the importance of building something purposeful that aligns with faith and values is what makes moments like these so special.

At PWG Lens, our mission extends beyond photography. We aim to make an impact, and part of that impact is helping others recognize their potential and pursue their dreams, whatever they may be.

As Phillip continues to inspire students and fellow entrepreneurs alike, he’s reminded that the journey is not just about building a successful business—it’s about building people and making a difference in the world.
